The venues for the 2019 The Tour Series of bike races are being announced and the first venue is Birkenhead on Tue 21st May.

These races offer excellent opportunities for practising your sports photography. The races last an hour and take place on a short circuit so you get to see the riders lots of times. There is plenty of opportunity to move around the course and the riders are really close so there’s no need for long lenses.

Support events start at 14:00
Women’s race starts 17:30
Men’s race starts 19:00

The mains races last 1 hour each plus a few laps. Teams warm up for around 15-20 mins before the start giving you time to set up your shots.

The Tour of Britain is also visiting the Wirral later in September, more detail nearer the time.
