Howard Barlow Exhibition

Howard was a presenter at Frodsham & District PS last season and has an exhibition of his work called “Common Ground” at St. Ann’s Church, Manchester until the end of November 2019.

Entry is free while the church is open.

Common Ground displays a selection of images that help us to reflect on what it means to turn our face towards home. Images taken from the back streets of Salford, Moss Side and Manchester city centre during the 80’s and revisited today, help us to reminisce about what it means to belong, to our city, our family, our community and to ourselves. Much of Howard’s work highlights connections made in what might appear to be quite mundane everyday life settings and places. Yet when people come together, the mundane becomes profound.
