The National Historic Ships UK, in partnership with Classic Boat magazine are running their ninth Photography Competition.  Entries are encouraged from all those with an interest in maritime heritage, including historic vessel owners, maritime enthusiasts, school children and those with knowledge of traditional skills or nautical techniques.

By the nature of the compeition there tends to be a bias towards sea-going vessels so let’s try and reverse the trend and submit some photos of our inland waterways historic boats.  Don’t let us just leave it to the professionals and those whose hobby is photography.  If you have taken or take a photo that you think is good and captures a special moment then submit it to the competition.  Entry is free, the closing date is 31 August 2019 and the photographs must have been taken in the last 2 years.
