This evening we are hoping to cover two different areas of photography.  Therefore an action packed evening.

To allow time for a good look at the Close to Home images we have changed the evening slightly. Andrew’s demonstration of mount cutting will be saved for a later session if there is sufficient interest. So the evening will now be:

  1. We are going to share our members’ ‘Close To Home’ sets of images.
  2. Practically experiment with flat lay.

What is Flat Lay Photography?

Flat Lay involve shooting down at objects.

It is an unique style of photography. You lay objects out on a flat surface–then you photograph them from an overhead perspective.

It gives you photos like this:

Ann Gardiner – Commended

Members need to bring a  mobile phone or if you want a tripod and larger camera .  The real emphasis is using different materials to make different designs.  If you have a flat lay idea feel free to bring your own objects and materials.  Also if we could borrow anybody’s lightbox would be very helpful.

Ann Gardiner

Lynda Haney – Very Highly Commended
