An online event entitled “Get Creative” and given by Glenys Garnett.

Glenys started her own business in 2011 after obtaining a First Class BA (Hons) Degree in Graphic Communication at Leeds Metropolitan University and Batley School of Art & Design.
She lives and works in Wakefield as a full time freelance Photographer, Artist and Graphic Designer and work exclusively in the digital medium.

She has a love of nature; the mountains, the sea, animals, birds, trees and tries to find a way to present an image to the viewer that will allow them to see the world through her eyes. She is often awed by the complexity of nature and how it presents itself in form, texture and a myriad of colours. All of her life experiences are reflected through her imagery, and this continues to shape her as a photographer and artist.

Glenys is not a purist about photography. She uses the camera as a tool, the first part of the process of producing an image, often with an artistic intent rather than a documentary capture. This may involve a number of creative techniques, including multiple exposure, ICM (intentional camera movement) and sometimes a combination of both.

She also produces what she calls “my Creative Images” – these are often montages or composites made in Photoshop and represent a more artistic approach to her imagery.

Free to members. Guests welcome – £5.
