Gerald Chamberlin EFIAP DPAGB lives in Cumbria. He is the past chairman of the Morton Photographic Society in Carlisle and the vice president of the Northern Counties Photographic Federation.

When many photographers talk about infrared they think monochrome, but Gerald prefers to retain colour, and produce surreal looking images.

In his talk, Gerald will explain the science of infra-red (IR) and how it fits into the light spectrum, as ‘Invisible Light’ and the fascinating history of Infra-Red photography.

He will then explain how to get started in infra-red photography and show us a selection of his images.

Gerald will be sharing with us his workflow for post-processing his images to achieve his distinctive style.
