We’re having a pre-season photowalk along with our colleagues at the Coedpoeth & Minerva Camera Club. Please come along and get the new season off to an early start. This will be on FRIDAY 4th September. Bring your camera and optionally a tripod if you have one.

The venue is Wepre Park, just over the border in Flintshire. Wepre Park is 65 hectares (160 acres) of green space, nestled in the heart of Connah’s Quay. It is a unique setting with its various habitats and geology. Features include; Old Hall Gardens, Brook and Waterfall, acres of beautiful woodland walks and Ewloe Castle all for the public to explore and photograph.

Please meet up outside the cafe/visitor centre at 10:30 am. We plan to begin the walk no later than 10:35am, so don’t be late. The traffic through Queensferry and Shotton is slow going so please allow sufficient time. Don’t forget the 20mph limit on Wepre Lane.

Be aware that there are car parking charges in operation now … £1 for 2 hours, £2 for 4 hours.

The walk is steep in parts and suitable footwear is advised, there are also steps leading up to the ruins of Ewloe Castle. The cafe’s menu is limited so you may want to bring a packed lunch.
