The October meeting of the RPS Digital Imaging Group features Ann and Steve Toon who are a Northumberland-based husband and wife team of former journalists turned professional wildlife photographers.

Their special area of interest, expertise and passion is the wildlife and wild places of southern Africa which they have been visiting regularly to photograph for the last 20 years. Their work is represented by a number of leading photo libraries, wthey e write features with our images for numerous magazines both in the UK and overseas, have a number of photography awards and have had three books published on photography and natural history. They have a deep interest in conservation, and, where they can, also use their journalism to explore and highlight the many complex issues affecting wildlife today.

Ann and Steve run photo workshops in the UK and have recently embarked on a successful new venture leading photographic safaris to some of Africa’s most exciting photographic wildlife destinations.

There will be the usual ‘Bring a print’ compettion which Ann and Steve will be asked to judge.
