FDPS member Wynford Evans’s photograph of walkers in Longacre Wood won this year’s Festival of Walks Photography competition.

The prize of a photography panel was kindly donated by Boots Frodsham and presented by Cllr Caroline Ashton who chairs the Festival of Walks Working Group.

Wynford’s winning photograph of walkers in the Woodland Trust’s Longacre Wood in Dutton on the “Waterside and Woodland Walk” was selected by Frodsham U3A Photography Group from a shortlist of 30 images sent to the Town Council or posted on the Festival of Walks Facebook page.

Wynford participated in several of the walks during the Festival and also regularly attends the weekly Wednesday Health Walks starting from Castle Park. He chose to print a lovely family photo for his prize.

Next year’s Frodsham Festival of Walks is planned for 25 April and 4 May 2020.
