This is our first presentation of the season, and we’re setting the bar really high!

In this engaging and candid talk, Kevin Mullins shares his journey through over 800 weddings as a full-time documentary photographer. Known for his discreet, story-led approach, Kevin will walk you through what it really means to photograph a wedding without interference—no posing, no orchestrated moments, just honest, human storytelling through the lens.

Kevin’s style is grounded in observation, anticipation, and empathy—skills he also hones through street photography and ‘Day in the Life’ family sessions, both of which he’ll touch on during the evening. These genres may seem worlds apart on the surface, but they’re united by one key principle: watching and waiting for life to unfold naturally.

He’s previously spoken at venues ranging from intimate camera clubs to major stages like The Photography Show at the NEC, New York, Tokyo and Buenos Aires, always delivering talks with a mix of practical insight, personal anecdotes, and a bit of dry humour.

Whether you’re a wedding shooter, a street wanderer, or simply curious about storytelling with a camera, this session promises to be both inspiring and down-to-earth.
